Start with the hero fantasy

Astro Looter’s armored heroes are not just skins for the same plan. A Storm Striker, Air Colonel, or Trauma Specialist suggests a different way to approach danger. For a first run, pick the hero whose role you can explain clearly, then build around that role instead of collecting every upgrade that appears.

Choose one primary answer

A build should answer one main threat. If swarms are overwhelming you, prioritize area coverage. If mining leaves you exposed, value control and defensive space. If you are losing while retreating, choose support that buys time. The upgrade card is good when it solves the problem your run actually has.

Turrets are positioning tools

The best turret is not always the one with the highest damage. A turret placed beside a mining route can make an objective safe. A turret placed behind you can create a retreat lane. A turret placed where enemies already are may simply arrive too late. Think in terms of future space.

A simple build template

  • One hero identity you understand.
  • One primary weapon or damage plan.
  • One crowd-control or area-clear answer.
  • One turret or support tool for mining and retreat.
  • One upgrade reserved for the threat your current run is showing.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best Astro Looter hero?

There is no permanent best hero for every player or patch. Start with a role that matches how you like to move and learn from the current run.

Where should I place turrets?

Place them where they protect a future route, mining site, or retreat lane—not only where the current wave is standing.
